Fruit and Waffle Kabob!
Making food easy for kids to grab and go is key with most of our Kids Eat Smart Clubs. Try out this easy and fun recipe with your KES Club this year! You can have these prepared by volunteers the night before and left in the fridge overnight or make them the morning of – either works fine! Be sure to search for mini waffles or you can cut up the regular size waffles in quarters.
Fruit and Waffle Kabobs
Ingredients (makes 12 kabobs)
- 12 mini toaster waffles (3 sets of 4)
- 2 cups strawberries
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 12 wooden or bamboo skewers
Directions
Toast the waffles, then break each set into four. Thread one waffle, two strawberries and a few blueberries on each skewer. Place the yogurt in a small bowl.
