Raising Awareness of your Kids Eat Smart Club!

With a new school year comes a fresh new start to your Kids Eat Smart Club. What some clubs are doing is changing things up and introducing new menu items, new volunteers, and new fundraising initiatives.

Sometimes all it takes is a fun and engaging way to introduce your KES Club to the school population. Every year schools have both new students and new parents that may never have heard about the KES Club in their new school. Be sure to spread the word in your newsletters, on your websites, and on your daily announcements.

Some ways in which schools have spread the word is having KES Regional Development Coordinators attend parent/teacher night to chat with parents about their schools KES Club, sending home letters to parents informing them of the KES Club, or involving student councils within the school to help ramp up some excitement and hold a blitz to inform students of when the KES Club is starting up for the year.

See picture below from the student council at PWC engaging their student population with orange slices and information on the start up of their club!
