
The Rooting for Health event is taking place at various schools across the province on March 4, 2011.

Dairy Farmer Serves Kids and Educational Breakfast - The Western Star- March 5, 2011
Local farmers will be volunteering their time to visit a Kids Eat Smart Club in their area, helping to serve a nutritional breakfast using local produce such as blueberries, raspberries, eggs, and milk.

The Federation of Agriculture, through their partner, Growing Forward, is providing each club with blueberries, raspberries, or eggs.

Milk will be available to each student, provided by the School Milk Foundation and their partners.
The Federation of Agriculture partners with the Government of Canada, Growing Forward, and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The School Milk Foundation is sponsored by Dairy Farmers of Newfoundland and Labrador, Scotsburn, Central Dairies, and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
