Kids Eat Smart Foundation depends on both private and public funding to support nutritional programs in both schools and community centres throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

Kids Eat Smart Foundation has two main categories of partnerships:

  • Core Partners
  • Community Partners

CORE PARTNERS

Core partners are donors who have committed to donating a specified dollar figure (to be given in cash, in kind, or in services) per year for a minimum of two calendar years.

There are four categories of core partnerships:

Platinum Partner
$50,000 or more

Gold Partner
$25,000 - $49,999

Silver Partner
$10,000 - $24,999

Bronze Partner
$1000 - $9,999

Platinum Partners

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, Department of Health and Community Services, has contributed $1.2 million to Kids Eat Smart Foundation for the 2008-2009 school year. Kids Eat Smart Clubs play a key role in the provincial strategy to improve the health and wellness of children and youth throughout Newfoundland and Labrador

Breakfast for Learning is the national partner for Kids Eat Smart Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador. Breakfast for Living, Canadian Living Foundation is the national non-profit organization which is solely dedicated to supporting child nutition programs in Canada.

Silver Partner

Bell Aliant has been here for Kids Eat Smart Foundation since 2005, when they enabled the creation of Kids Eat Smart Club signs.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Community partnerships are designed to recognize businesses and organizations who commit to investing and supporting Kids Eat Smart Clubs in their local community by partnering with the Kids Eat Smart Foundation. Donations can be made to the Foundation and designated for specific schools. Community partner categories are subject to the same guidelines as Core partner categories.

There are four categories of community partnerships:
